Jean Annette Hanson

Jean Annette Hanson, 80, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Spanish Oaks Retreat.
A native and lifelong resident of Savannah, Mrs. Hanson was a charter member of Cresthill Baptist Church and was very involved in various church activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy W. Hanson, a son, James Hanson, two sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Rutherford and Sharon Barefield (David) all of Savannah; three sons, Michael Hanson (Youngmi) of Fairfax, VA, Vance Hanson of Ellabell, GA and Douglas Hanson of Baxley, GA; three sisters, Virginia Carlyle, Carolyn DeNitto, and Joan Jackson; a brother, Ronnie Canady; thirteen grandchildren, Christopher Jenkins, Joseph Rutherford, Johnathan Rutherford, David Barefield, Jr., Jason Barefield, Justin Barefield, Troy Barefield, Marrisa Mixon, Richard Hanson, Jessica Akers, Vanessa Hanson, Stephen Hanson, and Joshua Christoph; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7 PM at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances to Spanish Oaks Hospice.
